Pacific Pioneer Broadcaster Ronnie Wald has reached 35 years in Sports Play by Play and can be found here broadcasting on his own network –

Legendary Dodgers Broadcaster & Hall of Famer Jaime Jarrin says Ronnie is “Outstanding!”  He has been called a “Real Pro” by former NBA/Sacramento Kings Coach Rex Hughes and on-air partner Jim Campanis Jr says Ronnie’s broadcasts are “Pure Awesomeness!” Also, Ronnie remains the “Dean of JC Broadcasters” starting out with Ventura College Athletics on KGOE-AM in 1982.  Wald has broadcast his eighth CIF-Southern Section Final from Angel/Dodger Stadium and the WIAA baseball finals at Safeco Field (Seattle), which thousands listened to on Waldcast.  Ronnie has also aired Cal State Fullerton, Pepperdine, San Diego State, Cal State Northridge, University of San Diego, UC Riverside, Seattle University, and Baseball’s California League plus “Around the World” on the Armed Forces Network.

Now in his 5th decade in broadcasting, his credits include three NCAA tournaments, six NCAA regionals, ten CCAA state finals, the Big West Tournament, WAC Playoffs, CIF Girl’s Basketball Final (Arco Arena), College Baseball World Series (Div. II) and the NAIA Basketball Championship in Kansas City (where he broadcast a record 7 games in one day!)

Ronnie, a former student body president, is a graduate of Cal State Northridge and L.A. Pierce College.  Also, he can be found in’s prestigious listing of all Los Angeles’ radio personalities for the past 50 years.  In 2003, Ronnie and Waldcast were honored by the California State Legislature for an “exemplary record of community service” and “professional leadership” in over two decades of broadcasting in the Golden State and from the LA Community College District,  Wald earned the “Chancellor’s Distinguished Honor Award.”  He is also a 25-year member of the American Sportscasters Association.
